Full Scale Riot (FSR)

I met up with Tim McMurtrie and the rest of the guys from FSR after their show at Bogie’s in Albany on Friday, August 14th. They handed me their CD, “Rise”, after our brief interview. Honestly, I have countless CD’s that sometimes don’t even make it out of the plastic, let alone into my CD player, but these guys were great live and very down-to-earth, so I took a leap of faith. It’s now in heavy personal rotation...it’s my September recummended metalcore listening. I think, for me, it’s because there’s so much going on musically—off time beats, breaks, changes, and a voice that occasionally reminds me of Monster Magnet. It’s the CD for the OCD.

Tim: We are from NY and NJ, former members of MOD, Pro-Pain, and Dillinger Escape Plan. We've been around since 2007. We have an EP (and merch) out now that you can buy on our MySpace at FSR is currently (as of press time) working on a possible show w/Typo Negative and the Misfits in September. FSR is getting promoted on the radio by heavy hitters which got bands like Clutch and Killswitch Engage, so they are getting out there, even though "we're old members from the past, you know, from the hard core scene back in the day, we're all just starting out again". We're gonna do a video next week and it'll be a video coming out soon for the song "Guilty by Association", the first track on their EP, entitled "Rise". FSR is shopping to all labels.
